Blue Crab Dip

  • Sun dried tomatoes

4-6 Servings

16 oz. fresh crab meat

8 oz. light (reduced fat), brick cream cheese

1/2 cup fat-free sour cream

2 tsp. horseradish

2 Tbs. mayonnaise

2 tsp. Worchestershire sauce

1/2 tsp. dried mustard

4 Tbs. milk

1-1/2 tsp. fresh lemon juice

2 to 4 oz. cheddar cheese, shredded

Paprika for garnish

Step 1

Allow cream cheese to soften in a bowl. Sift crab meat through fingertips to remove any shell fragments. Combine all ingredients except crab, half of cheddar cheese, and paprika in a bowl. Mix well. Fold in crab. Transfer mixture to a small baking dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese and paprika on top. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until bubbly on the outside. Serve on Ritz, melba toast, or whole wheat crackers. Note: cutting the recipe in half for a smaller amount of crab dip works fine.
